Discovering Diversity Profile

Our increasingly diverse society is reflected in growing workforce diversity. Leading organizations acknowledge that working successfully with others who don't share the same background, beliefs, or traditions is a top priority in today's workplace. Your employees may need help in assessing their behavior toward people who are different from themselves. And they must understand the benefits of changing negative attitudes and resistance into appreciation and cooperation. Based on your responses to the profile, your employees receive confidential personalized feedback that moves through four levels:

Knowledge - Employees discover what they actually know about individual differences by looking at stereotypes and at the source of their knowledge or information.

Understanding - Diversity training activities help employees decipher their level of awareness and explore their willingness to put themselves in a position to feel what others may be feeling. Awareness and empathy scales measure these abilities.

Acceptance - Employees examine their patience and regard for respecting different beliefs and behaviors. Tolerance and respect are key aspects measured in this dimension.

Behavior - Employees assess how they act out their attitudes towards others, their flexibility and openness in dealing with others, and their awareness of interaction patterns

The Discovering Diversity Profile(r) is designed to help individuals look honestly at themselves and identify attitudes and behaviors that stand in the way of leadership, teamwork, and supplier diversity. The Discovering Diversity Profile provides a safe way to explore the complex, powerful issues surrounding diversity.

The Discovering Diversity Profile(r) is highly effective and easy to use. 80 questions gently guide employees through, the journey of self-discovery. Responses are neither right nor wrong and are intended to prompt personal reflection on each individual's cultural diversity comfort level.
